All items on the Bush administration’s policy agenda and its responses to the crises of the past four years have turned out to be bad news for the United States and the American people. The legitimacy of both the 2000 and 2004 elections is open to serious question.
Now Bush is naming replacements to the Supreme Court that put him into office. Bush may still physically occupy the White House and may have the constitutional right to make these nominations, but the record of his administration proves he no longer has the moral right.
What can we expect in the future from decades of court leadership by a Bush appointee?
I hope Maine’s senators will put a stop to this rampage now by indefinitely postponing action on any court nomination.
I also suggest that members of Congress begin the process of removing this dishonest and dangerous person from office before he can do more harm.
