News in brief MILO: JUVENILES INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT

Four juveniles were injured Wednesday afternoon in a car accident on Sargent Hill Road. Milo police would not release the names of the local juveniles, but said three were 17-year-old girls and the fourth was a 16-year-old boy. The female driver reportedly swerved her car to avoid hitting a partridge in the road and lost control, according to Milo Officer Michael Harris. He said the vehicle struck a rock before crashing into some trees. All four were taken by ambulance to Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft where they were treated and later released, Harris said. The 2000 Pontiac Grand Am was demolished.
