How much protection?

If we keep the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard open, which I agree we should, and close Brunswick Naval Air Station, what kind of protection do we have and how long do we have to wait for the planes and troops to arrive from other states to protect Maine’s borders, the sitting and former presidents in Kennebunkport (when they are up there) and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard?

Since Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, have you noticed how much the bombings in Iraq have decreased? Maybe that’s because the organizations that are doing this know that all of the media attention is on this and not on their cause, so maybe they thought about waiting for a while until this blows over so they can get 100 percent coverage later from all over the world.

Last, but not least, there was a lot of talk about the loss of major defense contracts lost to Ingalls Shipyard in Mississippi. We haven’t heard very much about what damage, if any, this shipyard received from the hurricane.
