ASHLAND – Robert Toothaker scored the winning goal unassisted with 1:43 left in regulation to lift the Southern Aroostook Warriors to a 4-3 win over the Ashland Hornets in schoolboy soccer action Tuesday.
Josh Branscome added a goal in the first and another in the second while Jeremy Boutilier scored and had an assist. Colby Clark stopped 15 of 27 shots for the 7-1-1 Warriors of Dyer Brook.
Carl Nemer paced the 5-5 Hornets with two goals and an assist, and Curtis Belanger also had a goal. Jeremy Tarr and Lucas Belanger had 16 saves on 25 shots.
Van Buren 5, Limestone 0
At Van Buren, Ben Doucette tallied two goals as the Crusaders won a game that was halted 10 minutes into the second half due to lightning.
Rubin Hastings, Brandon Boulware and Jean Dumond added a goal apiece and Alex Martin an assist for 10-0-2 Van Buren. Andrew Taylor stopped all five shots he faced.
A.J. Rossignol recorded 18 saves on 27 shots for the 4-7 Eagles.
Hampden 6, Nokomis 0
At Newport, J Uhrin tallied three goals and one assist as the Broncos rolled to the win.
Martin Earley added two goals and Aaron Gilio one for Hampden, now 5-2. Camden Murray had five saves on 10 shots.
Wayne May stopped 12 of 20 shots for 1-6 Nokomis.
Bangor 13, Skowhegan 0
At Skowhegan, Dylan George recorded four goals while Adam Towne tallied two goals and two assists as the Rams coasted to the win.
JoJo Hwalek had two goals and one assist while Kyle Leeman notched two goals for 7-0 Bangor. Cam Cormier had one goal and one assist while Casey Quaglia registered one goal and two assists. Troy Jellison added a goal and Aaron Taft stopped the only shot he faced.
Allan MacKay turned back 14 out of 34 shots for 0-7 Skowhegan.

Orono 2, Central 1
At Corinth Monday, Jeff Normand and Chris McConnon scored unassisted goals 16 minutes apart in the first half as the Red Riots edged Central.
Mat Lint had 13 saves on 18 shots for 4-0-1 Orono.
Scott Kelly scored for the 3-2 Red Devils with Tyler Speed getting the assist. Charles Haney stopped nine out of 15 shots.

Ashland 5, So. Aroostook 1
At Ashland, Whitney Flint scored her team’s first two goals as the Hornets rolled over the Warriors.
Kasie Boyd, Angela Belskis, and Suzie Poulin added goals for 7-1-2 Ashland. Jackie Raymond posted three assists, and Poulin and Andrea Mayo had one each. Ashley Nemer made four saves on five shots.
Brittany Charette tallied the lone goal for 5-2-1 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook on a penalty kick with 12:40 remaining. Mindy Grant and Audrey Charette combined for 12 saves on 17 shots.
Van Buren 0, Limestone 0 (2OT)
At Van Buren, the Crusaders and Eagles couldn’t muster a goal through two overtimes.
Lisa Levasseur had eight saves on 14 shots for 4-3-5 Van Buren while Melanie Allen stopped seven out of 13 for 7-3-2 Limestone/MSSM.
Dexter 1, Piscataquis 1 (2OT)
At Guilford, the Pirates and Tigers played to a double-overtime stalemate.
Sabrina Cote scored on a header for 3-4-1 Dexter, off an assist from Kyle Keene. Ashley Richardson stopped 15 out of 16 shots.
Jessica Crouse scored off a Christine Davis rebound for the 1-4-1 Pirates. Jill Martell stopped 17 out of 17 shots.
Shead 1, Woodland 1 (2OT)
At Eastport, Heidi Sappier’s unassisted goal early in the second half enabled 2-3-1 Woodland to earn the tie.
Patricia Candelmo scored for Shead, which is now 2-2-1.
Dorothy Pottle made six saves on 13 shots for Shead while Woodland’s Cindy Bergin had eight stops on 17 shots.
Narraguagus 1, Calais 0
At Calais, Haley Torrey scored the winning goal 20 minutes in the first half to lift the Knights of Harrington.
Samantha Baker saved 10 of 10 shots for Narraguagus. Steph Perry had nine saves on 10 shots for Calais.
Bangor 6, Skowhegan 0
At Bangor, Amy Hackett scored two goals one minute apart in the first half to get the Rams off and running.
Hackett finished with three goals while Jessie Roberts scored two for 6-1 Bangor. Serena Dubois registered a goal plus an assist while Erin MacDermott and Casey Hartley tallied an assist apiece. Ilyse Angst and Rachel Roberts made one save on two shots.
Brittany Gould recorded 17 saves on 30 shots for 1-4-1 Skowhegan.
