WINTER HARBOR – The quartet Mainely Jazz will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at Hammond Hall.

Cost is $10 per person. Children will be admitted for free. The event is part of the Hammond Hall concert series.

The quartet is made up of pianist Frank Fredenburg, bassist Otho Knowles, drummer Bill Thayer and saxophonist John Mastrovito. They will host a children’s performance at 1 p.m. the same day for Peninsula School students. Home-schooled children are invited to attend.

Also, there will be an artist’s reception for watercolorist Mary Laury at 6 p.m. Her work will be on display at the hall during the month of October.
