OLD TOWN – All sporting events scheduled for Friday and Saturday involving Old Town High School teams have been postponed to allow students to attend visiting hours and funerals for schoolmates Ryan Worcester of Old Town and Lindsey Almenas of Indian Island, who died Wednesday in an automobile accident.
Among the varsity contests rescheduled is the football game between Old Town and Belfast, which has been moved from Friday to 6 p.m. Monday at Victory Field. Others include the boys and girls soccer matches against Skowhegan and a field hockey game against Foxcroft Academy that has been moved to Oct. 3.
The Old Town Sectionals cross country meet set for Saturday has been moved to Monday, Oct. 10.
