DYER BROOK – Dillon Boulier’s pounced on a loose ball off a Josh Branscombe cross and tucked it in the back of the net with 1:19 left in the first overtime to lift the Southern Aroostook Warriors to a dramatic 2-1 win over the Ashland Hornets in high school boys soccer action Wednesday.
Tyler Robinson had the other goal for 8-2-1 Southern Aroostook and Colby Clark made nine saves.
Sam Cobb scored for 5-6-1 Ashland and Jeremy Tarr and Trevor Tompkins combined for 12 saves.
MCI 3, Maranacook 1
At Readfield, Brandon Glencros scored two unassisted goals to lead the Maine Central Institute Huskies past the Maranacook Black bears.
Mark Trombley scored an unassisted goal for the 6-3 Huskies and Tristan Goewey made four saves on nine shots.
Casey Spencer scored an unassisted goal and Will Barbardaglio made four saves on 11 shots for the 6-2-1 Bears.
Woodland 7, Narraguagus 0
At Woodland, Cody Sappier scored three goal and assisted on two others to lead the Woodland Dragons past Narraguagus of Harrington.
Ian Allen scored twice for the 6-1 Dragons. Brandon Tomah and Craig Moody each scored a goal. Ben Sears assisted on two. Moody and Todd Townsend combined for five saves on five shots.
Ben Grant and Kyle Tenan combined for 21 saves on 28 shots for the 1-6 Knights.
Lee 4, Penobscot Valley 0
At Lee, Everett Houghton tallied a goal and two assists to lead the Pandas to the win.
Peter Pickering, Yun Jung and Devon Parker added a goal apiece for Lee. Kris King had six saves on 10 shots.
Brian Harris and Chad Trapier combined for 16 saves on 30 shots for the Howlers of Howland.
Machias 4, Jonesport-Beals 0
At Jonesport, Zach McNally and Isaiah Roberts each scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs to the win.
Garrett Getchell six saves on 13 shots for 7-1 Machias.
Ben Ellis turned back 20 of 33 shots for the 0-6-1 Royals.
Girls soccer
Ashland 3, So. Aroostook 1
At Dyer Brook, Kasie Boyd and Whitney Flint had a goal and an assist apiece and Jackie Raymond had the other goal as Ashland improved to 9-1-2.
Ashley Nemer made 11 saves.
Kaylea Collier scored for 5-5-1 Southern Aroostook and Audrey Charette made 10 saves.
