BANGOR – Jessica Taylor knocked in a loose ball after a shot by Kristen Gaylord deflected off goaltender Leah Drew with 25:58 remaining in the second half to give Maine Maritime Academy the tying goal, and nobody else would score the remainder of the game as the Mariners and Husson College Eagles played to a 1-1 tie in North Atlantic Conference women’s soccer action Thursday.

The game was stopped after regulation due to heavy rains and high winds.

Meghan Marshall made 11 saves on 18 shots for 7-3-1 Maine Maritime of Castine. Gaylord was credited with the assist on Taylor’s goal.

Deidra Ham scored 5:24 into the game for the 5-5-1 Eagles on a Kaylin Caron assist. Leah Drew stopped 10 of 12 shots.

Men’s soccer

Saint Joseph’s 4, Thomas 1

At Waterville, Harrison Deah scored three goals to lead Saint Joseph’s College to the win.

Scott Desrosiers scored a first-half goal for the 2-4-1 Monks. Brian White stopped six of nine shots.

Ryan Buttice scored an unassisted goal at 12:12 for 0-7-1 Thomas College. Ryan Conrad made 13 saves on 28 shots.
