MANCHESTER, N.H. – The mother of a man charged with murder and two Manchester men have been charged with hindering apprehension after allegedly helping the suspect escape from police.

Charles Glenn Jr., 24, was charged with second-degree murder in the Aug. 30 shooting death of Leonard Gosselin, 22, of Manchester. Police said Trina Ghedoni, Glenn’s mother, lied to police and helped her son travel cross-country to elude capture. He was arrested in Colorado.

“Mr. Glenn’s mother allegedly provided him with a method to get to Boulder, Colorado, by allegedly procuring a bus ticket for him with her boyfriend,” Sgt. Mark Fowke said. “She also provided investigators with erroneous information about where his location may be.”

Ghedoni’s boyfriend, Derek Jones, 40, and Thomas Williams, 23, a friend whom police say Glenn called after the murder, also were charged.

Investigators said Ghedoni, 45, of Manchester told police three days after the shooting that Glenn was in Portland, Maine. Just hours after Ghedoni spoke with authorities, a surveillance camera at a bus station in Boston showed Ghedoni and Jones buying a ticket for Glenn to travel to Boulder, police said.

Glenn’s sister lives in Boulder, where he was arrested several days later.
