ORONO – The University of Maine Black Bears opened America East volleyball action with a 30-27, 30-19, 32-30 sweep of New Hampshire at Memorial Gym Friday.
Kaili Jordan posted a team-high 11 kids and added eight digs to pace UMaine (4-8) in its first home match since Aug. 27.
Lindsay Allman registered 10 kills, while Shelly Seipp racked up 37 assists and Jody Connacher provided 22 digs. Leah Guidinger and Shannan Fotter each chipped in with nine kills for the Bears.
Emmy Blouin led New Hampshire (2-13) with 15 kills and 14 digs, while Caitlin Dowd contributed 13 kills and Lucia Bridova 34 assists.
