People’s United Methodist Church, Depot Street, is launching a once-a-month service it calls The Element. Dubbed a “postmodern worship experience,” the service will involve praise and worship music, video and message by the Element team. “We just want to go back to basics … to find new ways for people to build that elemental relationship with God,” said Aaron Clark, who plays bass in the worship team called Just The Band. “Our band has been well-received both times we have led worship at PUMC and we feel there is a hunger for this type of service here in Union,” Clark said. The first Element will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9. Call 785-4114.
