AUGUSTA – The price for renewing a Maine driver’s license online, which previously included a $1 processing fee, has been reduced to the same amount charged for obtaining a renewal in-person at a Bureau of Motor Vehicles office.

The online service also allows individuals to replace lost, stolen or destroyed licenses or state identification cards, and is available 24 hours a day. For information, go to www.maine.gov/sos.
