BANGOR – Shane Coffin and Natapong Kangsunja each had one goal and one assist for to lead the Husson College Eagles to a 5-0 men’s soccer win over Thomas College of Waterville Wednesday.
Oscar Ody, Kyle James and Jeff Truchon tallied a goal apiece for 8-4-1 Husson. Dana Bellemare had one save on one shot.
Ryan Conrad stopped 13 of 31 shots for 0-9 Thomas.
Unity 3, Eastern Maine CC 1
At Unity, the Rams scored twice in the second half to break a 1-1 halftime score to go on and beat the Golden Eagles.
Matt Pickowicz and Aaron Cross each netted the second-half goals to put 7-4 Unity up for good. Daryl Aresco recorded the team’s first goal.
Justin Heaten scored an unassisted goal for EMCC, while Aaron Moody saved 13 of 32 shots for the 1-7 squad.
Tyler Ferguson made four saves on 10 shots for the Rams.
Maine 1, UNH 1 (2OT)
At Orono, Jason Jacobe scored the tying goal for Maine in the 59th minute as the Bears earned the tie.
Cooper Friend got the assist and Chad Mongeon had six saves on 14 shots for 2-6-2 Maine.
Chris Bennice scored for the 7-2-2 Wildcats. Brian Levey stopped four of 12 shots.
Women’s soccer
Bowdoin 2, So. Maine 2 (2OT)
At Brunswick, Samantha Ronnie scored at the 70-minute mark to tie the score for the Huskies.
Liz Brunton scored in the first half for Southern Maine, now 8-2-1. Mindy Morneault had 13 saves on 22 shots.
Ivy Blackmore and Ann Zeigler netted a goal apiece for 6-2-1 Bowdoin. Anna Shapell and Katherine Popoff combined for 10 saves on 13 shots.
Field hockey
Bates 5, Husson 0
At Lewiston, Sarah Judice earned her first shutout of the season as the Bobcats blanked the Eagles.
Brooke Anable scored two unassisted goals in the second half to power 3-4 Bates. Erin Chandler, Abby Childs and Emily Sampson also tallied scores for their squad.
For 3-5 Husson, Kelly Bocchino saved five of 29 Bobcat shots.
