DOVER FOXCROFT – Greg Whitaker scored three goals to lead the unbeaten Presque Isle Wildcats to a 9-0 high school boys soccer win over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies Thursday.

Brendon Esquibel scored two goals for the 12-0 Wildcats. Nate Carter, Gabe Cheney, Ethan Hill, and Luke Ireland each scored a goal. Adam Kingsbury and Chris Wilcox combined to make two saves on two shots.

Chris Heretakis and Matt Anderson combined for 20 saves on 29 shots by the 1-9 Ponies.

Lee 4, So. Aroostook 1

At Dyer Brook, Yun Jung scored two goals to lead the Pandas to victory.

Doob Dow and Branden Crocker added a goal apiece and Tom Bird an assist for 8-3-1 Lee. Kris Kane and Cameron Hamilton combined for five saves on six shots.

Jeremy Boutlier scored for the 8-3-1 Warriors, with Josh Branscome getting the assist. Colby Clark stopped 15 of 19 shots.

Schenck 3, Katahdin 1

At East Millinocket, J.C. Bresnahan recorded two goals in the second half to help lead Schenck to the win.

Bresnahan’s second goal was assisted by Steven Deveau. Trevor Violette scored a goal with an assist from Joe Ruitto. Lanni Thompson had nine saves on 15 shots for the Wolverines.

Keith Anderson netted a penalty kick with 1:28 left while Burton Brayall saved nine of 20 shots for Katahdin of Stacyville.

Calais 4, Narraguagus 1

At Harrington, Jacob Ludington netted three goals for the Blue Devils in the win.

John Deacon added a goal for 9-2 Calais. Scott Geel had five saves on seven shots.

Gustavo Ortiz scored the lone goal for 2-10 Narraguagus. Chris Green saved nine of 13 shots.

George Stevens 2, Bucksport 0

At Blue Hill, Josh Astbury scored one goal and assisted on another by Phineas Peake to lead the Eagles to a win.

Seth Brayton added an assist for 7-2-3 George Stevens. Collin Henry had six saves on eight shots.

Miles Bisher stopped 20 of 37 shots for 2-10 Bucksport.

John Bapst 0, MDI 0 (2OT)

At Bar Harbor, the Crusaders of Bangor and Trojans couldn’t muster a goal through two overtimes.

Max Blandford had six saves on 11 shots for 5-4-1 MDI while Crhis Smith stopped four of six shots for 5-5-1 John Bapst.

JV: John Bapst 2-1

Dexter 1, Orono 0

At Dexter, Rick Stewart’s goal with 3:12 left in the first half to give the Dexter Tigers a victory over the Red Riots.

After a shot deflected off the goalie and back out, Brandon Woodman got control of the ball at midfield, started a breakaway, and found Steward outside the 18 before Stewart scored on a shot to the left corner. Chris Eastman made seven saves on 11 shots for this second shutout with the 11-1-1 Tigers.

Mat Lint made nine saves on 18 shots for the 10-12 Red Riots.

Girls soccer

Lee 10, Southern Aroostook 0

At Dyer Brook, Kimmy Thurlow and Amanda Gifford each scored two goals to help lead Lee to victory.

Jackie Moors, Liz Read, Jodi Worcester and Aarika Ritchie each added a goal in the first half while Nicole Slevinsky and Dana Houghton scored goals in the second. Houghton, Ritchie and Thurlow each recorded an assist.

Kerri Harris made six saves on eight shots for 10-0 Lee while Shana Martin and Amanda Charette combined for nine saves on 22 shots for 5-6-1 Southern Aroostook.

Calvary Chapel 4, East Grand 1

At Danforth, Chauntel Veilleux netted three goals in the first half to lead Calvary Chapel to victory.

Veilleux’s goals were assisted by Ashley Pomeroy and Emilie Ericson. Pomeroy added a goal in the second half. Hannah Lacadie saved nine of 10 shots for the Sabers of Orrington.

Jackie Dodge had a goal in the first with an assist from Tiffany Shay for the Vikings. Jodie Crone stopped nine of 13 shots.

Greenville 2, Rangeley 0

At Rangeley, Hannah Breton scored five minutes into the game and Brittany Bouchard added another seven minutes into the second half to lead Greenville past Rangeley.

Beth Bartley stopped four of four shots for 11-0 Greenville while Krista Jamison had eight saves on 18 shots for 6-5 Rangeley.
