St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer, will sponsor two programs this month focused on the Eucharist. The Rev. Joel R. Cyr will lead a four-week course, “The Eucharist – What It Is and Why Do We Celebrate It?” from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturdays, beginning today at the parish hall on North Main Street. The Rev. Henry Wyman of Bangor, a retired Protestant minister, will join Cyr at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the parish hall for a discussion titled “The Protestant Version of the Eucharist and the Catholic Version of the Eucharist.” For information about the programs at St. Joseph’s, call 989-5388.
