LIMESTONE – Randy Thibeault converted a penalty kick with 10:03 left in regulation to lift the Wisdom High boys soccer team to their first win of the season, 2-1 over the Limestone/Maine School of Science and Math Eagles Tuesday.
Wayne Dyment and Chad Sirois each added a goal. Sirois also recorded an assist for 1-12 Wisdom of St. Agatha. Curtis Collin made nine saves on 13 shots.
Joe Leighton and Bo Li each tallied a goal and an assist for Limestone.. A.J. Rossignol had 10 saves on 14 shots for the 4-8 Eagles.
So. Aroostook 2, Washburn 1
At Dyer Brook, Josh Branscombe and Tyler Robinson each netted a goal in the first half to give Southern Aroostook the early edge.
Colby Clark made 10 saves on 11 shots for the 9-3-1 winners.
Troy Willcox scored for Washburn with 18:20 left while Stephen Pesut stopped 25 of 27 shots for the 5-8 Beavers.
Houlton 11, Hodgdon 0
At Hodgdon, Alex Mooers scored three goals to power the Shiretowners.
Corey Lewis, Aaron Fitzpatrick and Patrick Longstaff notched two goals apiece for 3-7-1 Houlton. Ian Pasquarelli and Ben Austin added a goal each. Eben Thompson stopped all five shots he faced.
Alex Harris made 15 saves on 34 shots for 0-12 Hodgdon.
Van Buren 2, Madawaska 0
At Madawaska, Alex Martin and Ben Doucette each scored an unassisted goal for the Crusaders in the win.
Andrew Taylor stopped all four shots he faced for 11-0-2 Van Buren while Andrew Levesque had two saves on four shots for 10-2-1 Madawaska.
Woodland 5, Shead 0
At Woodland, Brandon Tomah scored a goal and added two assists as the Dragons shut out the Tigers of Eastport.
Chad James, Todd Townsend, Jeremy Burke and Brad Arthers each chipped in with a goal for 9-3 Woodland. Ben Sears and Cody Sappier contributed one assist apiece and Craig Moody stopped all nine Shead shots.
Brandon LaPlante made 12 saves on 17 shots for the 5-6-2 Tigers.
Old Town 8, Nokomis 0
At Old Town, Dillon Clark tallied three goals and one assist to lead Old Town to the win.
Hogan Marquis notched a goal and two assists and Nate Lonko one goal and one assist for 5-7 Old Town. Tyler Dufour, Chris Brewer and Corey Fournier chipped in a goal apiece. Ethan Shanley stopped all six shots he faced.
Wayne May made 18 saves on 26 shots for 1-11 Nokomis of Newport.

MCI 4, Mount View 2
At Thorndike, Mark Trombley notched a goal and an assist to lead MCI of Pittsfield to the win.
Brandon Glencross, Owen Campbell and Dustin Varney added a goal apiece for the 9-4 Huskies. Tristan Goewey had five saves on nine shots.
Kevin Price and Cody Zane scored for the 5-8 Mustangs. Ethan Jean stopped seven of 13 shots.

At Blue Hill, Phineas Peake scored a goal and assisted on another to lead the Eagles to the win.
Ryan Kurtz, Josh Astbury, Damien Smith, Caleb Owen and Danny Moran each added a goal for 8-2-3 George Stevens. Collin Henry had 11 saves on 12 shots.
Mason Young stopped 15 of 24 shots for 3-10 Sumner of East Sullivan.
Calais 4, Machias 4 (2OT)
At Calais, Adam Knowles netted two goals in the second half including the equalizing goal for Calais.
Corey Johnson and Sean Chavanaugh each tallied a goal for 10-2-1 Calais and Scott Geel made 12 saves on 19 shots.
Machias’ Zac McNally and Mike Little each scored two goals while Garrett Getchell had 16 saves on 20 shots for the 9-1-2 Bulldogs.
MDI 1, Ellsworth 0
At Bar Harbor, Jake Merchant fed Jeremy Curran with a cross that Curran one-timed into the back of the net in the second half to lift the Trojans past the Eagles.
Max Blandford made six saves on 12 shots for 6-5-1 MDI while Cory Smith had three saves on seven shots for 7-4-1 Ellsworth.

At Limestone, Brittany King scored a pair of goals and Ellie Dunn had a goal and an assist as the Eagles improved to 8-3-2.
Kellie Peers had the other goal, Lee Anne Kelley contributed an assist and Melanie Allen made four saves on six shots for Limestone-Maine School of Science and Math.
Kayla Daigle had 18 saves on 26 shots for 3-10 Wisdom of St. Agatha.
Lawrence 3, Brewer 0
At Brewer, Erica Heinrich scored an insurance goal on a penalty kick in the second half as Lawrence shut out the Brewer Witches.
Megan Forsythe and Danielle Slaney each tallied a goal for the winners while Katie Mayo made four saves on six shots for the 5-8 Bulldogs of Fairfield.
Carolyn Tuck had four saves on seven shots for the 4-8 Witches.
Lee 5, Katahdin 1
At Lee, Kimmy Thurlow tallied two goals in the first half to help lead Lee Academy by Katahdin.
Aarika Ritchie scored a goal and recorded three assists while Amanda Gifford and Marci Moors each added a goal. Jackie Moors and Dana Houlton combined for three saves on four shots for the 12-0 Pandas.
Brooke Lruezey scored in the first while Nayla Stevens had 17 saves on 30 shots for the 1-11-1 Cougars of Stacyville.
So. Aroostook 2, Washburn 1
At Dyer Brook, Kaylea Collier scored both goals – unassisted – for the Southern Aroostook Warriors, with the game-winner coming with 10 minutes left in the game.
Shana Martin made 12 saves on 17 shots for the 6-6-1 Warriors.
Alex Bird scored an unassisted goal for the 7-5-1 Washburn Beavers. Amber Palmer made fives saves on eight shots.
Madawaska 9, Van Buren 2
At Madawaska, Jamie Nadeau and Beth Gerard each scored two goals to lead Madawaska past the visiting Crusaders. Nadeau also had two assists and Gerard had one.
Ashley D. Cyr had two goals and an assist for the 12-1 Owls. Sarah Nadeau had a goal and an assist. Beth Nadeau and Liz Laplante combined for three saves on six shots.
Amber Martin and Megan Lajoie each scored a goal for the 4-4-5 Crusaders. Macy Ouellette and Lisa Levasseur made 22 saves on 39 shots.
Houlton 1, Hodgdon 0
At Hodgdon, Mallory McPartland netted the winning goal with 14:00 left in the game to lead Houlton to victory.
Nicole Manton made eight saves on eight shots for the 4-9 Shiretowners while Heather London had 11 saves on 14 shots for 5-7 Hodgdon.
Shead 2, Calvary Chapel 1
At Eastport, Whitney Remington headed in a pass from Fawn Cummings with 12:31 left in regulation to lift the Tigerettes to the win.
Cummings scored earlier in the match for 6-5-1 Shead. Dorothy Pottle saved four of five shots.
Ashley Garcia scored for the Sabers of Orrington, now 4-8. Hannah Lacadie had five saves on seven shots.
