DEXTER – Morgan Cyr tucked a high, looping shot into the near corner from 10 yards out with 1:30 left in the second overtime to give the Penobscot Valley Howlers a 3-2 schoolgirl soccer victory over the Dexter Tigers Wednesday.
Ashley Dawson and Molly Thompson scored a goal apiece in the first half to give 7-5-1 Penobscot Valley of Howland a 2-0 edge.
Sabrina Cote converted a penalty kick and Christal Warren scored the equalizer for 6-7-1 Dexter in the second half.
Jenn Plourde had six saves on eight shots for the Howlers while Ashley Richardson stopped eight out of 11 for the Tigers.
Lee 6, Woodland 0
At Lee, Aarika Ritchie tallied two goals and one assist to lead the unbeaten Pandas to their 13th victory.
Kimmy Thurlow scored one goal and assisted on another for 13-0 Lee. Brooke Harris, Marci Moors and Karen Bird added a goal each. Jackie Moors and Jodi Worcester combined for three saves on four shots.
Cindy Bergin saved 19 of 36 shots for the 5-5-1 Dragons.
Orono 2, Searsport 1
At Searsport, Lindsey Colbath scored the game-winning goal in the second half to lead the 11-0-2 Red Riots to victory.
Lauren Wheeler also had a goal in the second period, tying the score 1-1. Heather Woodbrey made 10 saves on 16 shots for Orono.
Natasha Zito put the Vikings on the board in the first half off an Abby Landmesser assist. April Pickering saved 13 of 20 shots 6-6 Searsport.
Old Town 2, Brewer 0
At Brewer, Katie Bergeron and Allison Gallant netted unassisted goals in the second period to lead Old Town to their second win of the season.
Nicole Guay earned the shutout, saving 10 of 15 shots for 2-11 Old Town.
Carolyn Tuck made eight saves on 14 shots for the Witches, who fall to 4-9.
Belfast 2, Medomak 0
At Belfast, Claire Loxtercamp and Sophie Scott netted a goal apiece for Belfast in the win.
Angela Brandt had an assist for the 9-3-1 Lions. Kat Kelly saved seven of nine shots.
Alison Cornforth had 13 saves on 19 shots for the 6-6-1 Panthers of Waldoboro.

At Eastport, Megan Look recorded the shutout, saving all 10 shots for the 9-2 Raiders of East Machias.
Janna Espling had the only goal of the game, scoring of a scramble in front of the net with 20:47 to go in the first half.
Dorothy Pottle stopped four of five shots for the Tigerettes, who fall to 6-6-1.

Stearns 2, Mattanawcook 0
At Millinocket, Amy Collinsworth scored a goal and added one assist to lead the Minuteman to a win in their final regular-season game.
Jamie Johnson knocked in a goal at the end of the first half to give Stearns a 1-0 lead at intermission. Deanna Michaud saved four of six shots for 10-4 Stearns.
The 5-8-1 Lynx of Lincoln used goalies Sarah French and Tammy Savage, who teamed up to save six goals on 12 shots.

Katahdin 6, Hodgdon 1
At Stacyville, Patrick Willette had two goals and an assist to pace the Katahdin Cougars past Hodgdon.
Billy Duffy, Alex McAvoy, Dylan Harris, and Burton Brayall each scored a goal for the 7-5-2 Cougars. Matt Tarr made five saves on nine shots.
Tom Duff scored on a Jordan Guy assist for the 0-14 Hawks. Seth Dorr and Jamie Ryan combined to make 30 saves on 54 shots.
Orono 2, Central 1
At Orono, Trey Schlutt fed Chris McConnon with a forward pass that McConnon blasted past Central goalie Chris Haney midway through the first half to give the Red Riots the winning edge.
Jeff Normand opened the scoring with a goal, assisted by Tom Smyth for 10-1-2 Orono. Mat Lint had six saves on seven shots.
Danny Kane tied the score with a penalty kick a minute after Normand’s goal for the 8-5 Red Devils of Corinth. Haney saved five of seven shots.

Brewer 4, Old Town 2
At Old Town, Shunsuke Sasaki booted two unassisted goals to pace the 4-8-1 Witches.
Marc Relford also had an unassisted score, while Jeremy Proulx notched a goal from an Andrew Richardson pass. Chris Brady saved 11 of 15 shots in goal.
David Martinez and Nate Lonko recorded second-half goals for 5-8 Old Town. Hogan Marquis added an assist. Ethan Shanley faced 21 shots and saved 12.
Dexter 6, PVHS 1
At Howland, the Tigers scored five goals in the first period to help put the Howlers away.
Rich Stewart and Ethan Woodman each notched a pair of unassisted goals, while Aaron Woodman added one. Brandon Woodman scored a goal in the second half for 12-1-1 Dexter. Chris Eastman made two saves on four shots.
For 4-7-1 PVHS, Ryan Ware scored from a Cory Soucy pass in the second period. Chad Trapier and Brian Harris combined to save 10 of 19 shots.
Lee 3, Schenck 0
At East Millinocket, Kris King stopped seven of nine shots to earn the shutout in the Pandas’ victory.
Minh Gu Rhee, Yun Jung and Peter Pickering each scored a goal for Lee.
Lanny Thompson made 27 saves on 32 shots for the Wolverines.
PCHS 6, Penquis 0
At Guilford, the duo of Ryan Martell and Corbin Schufelt combined for the shutout, saving all 13 shots for the host Pirates.
Andy Zimmerman scored two goals while Roy Burdin, Mike Wharff, Jordan Pomerleau and Brian Hackett each scored one for 5-6-2 PCHS.
Nick Emery saved 32 of the 40 shots he faced in goal for the 2-12 Patriots of Milo.
Bangor Christian 7, Sumner 2
At Bangor, Ignacio Bustos had two goals and two assists and Josh Griffin also scored twice as undefeated Bangor Christian improved its record to 13-0.
Brock Bradford added a goal and two assists for the Patriots, while Matt Denbow and Justin Phinney each scored a goal and Micah Dougherty had two assists.
Chris Cowperthwaite and Derek Crocker scored for 2-12 Sumner of East Sullivan, while David Thomas earned an assist.
Josh Frost, Phinney and Sam McLeod combined to make nine saves on 11 shots for Bangor Christian. Mason Young made 23 saves on 35 shots for Sumner.
John Bapst 7, Bucksport 1
At Bucksport, Nick Hubbard tallied three goals and Josh Jamison two goals and one assist to lead the Crusaders of Bangor to the win.
John Gagnon added a goal and keeper Chris Smith converted a penalty kick. He had 18 saves on 26 shots for 7-5-1 Bapst.
Teddy Cooke scored for the 2-11 Golden Bucks and Miles Bisher stopped 14 of 21 shots.

Fort Fairfield 3, Limestone 1
At Fort Fairfield, Brandon McLaughlin scored all three of the Tiger goals to help lead his team to the defeat.
Cody Classon recorded the only assist of the night. Bill Scully made four saves on 10 shots for 10-5 Fort Fairfield.
Joe Leighton put the 4-9 Eagles on the board with a penalty kick. AJ Rossignol saved 14 of 21 shots.
