PRESQUE ISLE – Travis Parent’s unassisted goal off a loose ball during a scramble in front of the net with 13 minutes left lifted the UMaine-Presque Isle Owls to a 3-2 men’s soccer victory over Thomas College of Waterville Wednesday.
Sebastian Itman scored two goals and Robert Allan assisted on one for the 4-5-1 UMPI Owls. Scott Clenchy made three saves on five shots.
Chris Inzerillo had a goal and an assist for the 0-10-1 Terriers. Tyler Simpson scored one goal and Ryan Conrad saved eight of 11 shots.
So. Maine 3, U-New England 0
At Gorham, Greg Cox and Sinisa Bajic each had one goal and one assist to lead the Huskies to the win.
Ryan Colpitts added a goal for 2-7-2 Southern Maine. Chris Willard had four saves on nine shots.
Matt Cribben saved three of 16 shots for 2-8-1 U-New England.
Colby 1, St. Joseph’s 0
At Standish, Matt Shatkin scored in the 85th minute to lift the White Mules of Waterville to victory.
Zach Starr had two saves on eight shots for 5-5 Colby while Brian White and David Rosquete combined for seven saves on 20 shots for the 3-7-1 Monks.

At Gorham, freshman Mary Clare Snediker converted a penalty shot late in the second period to lead the 3-6 Mules to a win.
Molly Rice earned the shutout, as she saved the only shot that went her way.
Natalie Nimon saved seven of 14 shots for the Huskies, who fall to 5-7.
UM-Farmington 6, UNE 2
At Farmington, Kristy Veazie scored two first-half goals and three in all as the Beavers rolled.
Kristen Allen had one goal and one assist for 9-3 UM-Farmington and Mary Sinclair and Andrea Tyler added a goal apiece.
Women’s soccer
Colby 1, Saint Joseph’s 0
At Waterville, Laura Williamson scored with just over a minute left in regulation to lift the Mules to the non-conference victory.
The goal was assisted by Katie McCabe. Liza Benson recorded her fourth shutout, saving five of six shots for 5-2-2 Colby.
Krista Wotherspoon made 12 stops on 21 shots for the Monks, who fall to 7-5.
Bates 3, USM 0
At Lewiston, Molly Wagner and Kim Alexander each scored a goal and assisted on another to boost the Bobcats to victory.
Meg Coffin notched the last goal late in the second period for 7-3 Bates. Nini Spalding saved two of seven shots.
Mindy Morneault made nine saves on 25 shots for the Huskies, who fall to 8-3-1.
