SOUTH PORTLAND – A Weeks Mills woman’s number was picked on Wednesday in the Maine State Lottery’s Live Million Dollar Drawing at the Maine Mall.

Janet DeCosta was one of four finalists who each had already won $250,000 through the Million Dollar Bonus Spectacular Instant Ticket game, which was released in April 2004. The other finalists were Mitchell Veysey of Hodgdon, Gerard E. Connelly of Naples and Steven W. Roberts of Gorham.

DeCosta’s No. 10 was on the ball that emerged from the machine Wednesday, earning her the extra $1 million.
