BELFAST – The Maine Games announced that curling will be added to the 2006 lineup of competitions with a bonspiel scheduled for Feb. 4 at the Belfast Curling Center.

The Belfast Curling Club, the only active curling club in Maine, boasts more than 120 members. The Maine Games curling event is open to anyone from Maine who has an interest in learning the sport. Participants must be at least 18 to compete this year. Registrations will be accepted beginning on Nov. 1, with the deadline set for Jan. 21.
