Maine Right to Life meeting this weekend

AUGUSTA – The Maine Right to Life Committee will hold its annual convention from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.

With a theme of Equal Justice for All, this year’s convention will feature Dr. Alveda C. King, a noted civil rights activist and the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Alveda King serves as director of African American Outreach for Gospel of Life.

Other speakers will be Carol Crossed, co-founder of Democrats for Life; Nate Walton, chairman of the Maine College Republicans; Dr. Ron Carroll, and Ray Richardson, local talk show host and community activist.
