The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development and the Eastern Maine Development Corp. will celebrate Rural Development’s $2 million investment to acquire the Morse Building at 40 Harlow St., Bangor, as EMDC’s new home. The money will be used to purchase real estate and equipment for the relocation.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development and the Eastern Maine Development Corp. will celebrate Rural Development’s $2 million investment to acquire the Morse Building at 40 Harlow St., Bangor, as EMDC’s new home. The money will be used to purchase real estate and equipment for the relocation. At 3:30 p.m. today, federal and state officials will meet at the Harlow Street location to celebrate the acquisition of the funds and to tout Rural Development’s presence in Maine. Rural Development is embarking on a 16-county tour of Maine to highlight funded organizations in each county and to celebrate 70 years of commitment to rural America.
