Bangor meetings announced for coming week

BANGOR – Following are city meetings and other activities for the coming week. All will be held in City Council chambers at City Hall unless otherwise indicated.

. Saturday: 9 a.m., planning board city tour to depart from City Hall.

. Monday: 7:30 a.m., downtown parking advisory committee to meet at City Hall for van tour of downtown parking facilities; 6 p.m., City Council executive session regarding disposition of city waterfront parcel; 6:15 p.m., City Council executive session regarding negotiations with Penn National Gaming Inc. on permanent site for gaming facility; 7:30 p.m., regular council meeting, agenda includes amendment of immunization grant agreement with state, zone change request from Judson Grant Jr. for land on Broadway and Griffin Road, city zone change request for 93 New York St., acceptance of federal and state funds for study of airport terminal area, amending city’s 2000 comprehensive plan to include final report of Penjajawoc-Bangor Mall area task force, acceptance of county hazard mitigation plan, developer agreement with Belvedere Associates LLC for waterfront condominiums, amendment of developer agreement with Shaw House Development Inc. for Bangor Waterworks low-income housing project, resolves regarding state referendum questions.

. Tuesday: noon, Bangor Area Comprehensive Transportation System advisory committee, 1 Cumberland Place; 5 p.m., City Council government operations committee, agenda includes service contract for homeless Continuum of Care grant application, video-conferencing capability for Bangor Fire Department, proposal for off-leash dog park; 6:30 p.m., planning board workshop on comprehensive plan update.

. Wednesday: 5 p.m., recycling committee; 5:30 Maine Ave., agenda includes briefings on household hazardous waste collection, composting workshop, long-range planning.

. Thursday: 5 p.m., Dakin Pool executive committee, updates on bathhouse design, potential for volunteer labor and fundraising; 5:30 p.m., school committee candidates night, Bangor Public Library; 7 p.m., council candidates night, Bangor Public Library.
