A Bangor woman was issued a summons Thursday night after she reportedly entered a Bangor man’s apartment without invitation.
Constance Girard, 44, walked into her male friend’s apartment on Spring Street in Bangor despite his protests and began breaking some of his belongings, according to a Bangor police report.
Girard then grabbed the man and scratched him several times. Upon leaving, she threw items under the victim’s parked car, said the report.
A Bangor officer tried to contact Girard at home, and when she called him back, she agreed to come to the station. Girard was intoxicated when she arrived, and she was issued a summons for trespassing and simple assault.

Two accidents occurred Friday in Hermon within 100 yards of each other on Route 2, leaving one driver with possible neck and back injuries.
Patricia Pinkham, 56, of Stetson was hurt as she stopped at 2:45 p.m. near the Bog Road intersection to wait for a stopped school bus in the opposite lane, Hermon Deputy Michael Adams of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s office said Friday. Pinkham was headed west on Route 2 when her 1994 Dodge Spirit was rear-ended by a 1995 Chevrolet pickup driven by Tyler McDonald, 18, of Peru, Adams said.
Pinkham complained of neck and back pain and was transported by Hermon Ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, the deputy said. Pinkham was still being evaluated in the hospital’s emergency department Friday evening. McDonald was not injured, and no children were in the road at the time of the collision, he said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, Adams said.
Pinkham’s vehicle had $3,000 in damage and was towed from the scene, and traffic was reduced to one lane for about an hour, he said.
Earlier in the day on Route 2 in Hermon, three people escaped injury when a car struck a trailer being hauled by a driver turning left off Coldbrook Road, Hermon Deputy Michael Adams said. The driver of the car, who was headed toward Bangor on Route 2 at 7:50 a.m., said the sun was in his eyes so he did not see the truck and trailer in time to stop, the deputy said.
One of the trailer’s two axles was knocked off and the car was heavily damaged, Adams said. Nobody was hurt, including a passenger in the pickup truck, and all three were wearing seat belts, he said. Traffic was backed up for about a half-hour, he said.
