CALAIS – Corey Johnston tallied two goals and Jacob Ludington had one in the first half to lead Calais to a 5-1 schoolboy soccer victory over Woodland in the Downeast Athletic Conference championship.
Ludington added another goal in the second half while Adam Knowles also netted one. Scott Geel made 14 saves on 18 shots for the Blue Devils.
Woodland’s Brandon Tomah scored one in the first. Craig Moody had 13 saves on 18 shots for the Dragons.

Dexter 1, Fort Kent 0
At Dexter on Saturday, the No. 2 Tigers edged the No. 7 Warriors in a quarterfinal match that was decided with penalty kicks.
After two scoreless overtimes, 13-1-1 Dexter converted four second-round penalty kicks to seal the win. David Wilks, Quinn Dillon, Dan Fournier and Ryan Martin all made the successful boots.
Tigers sophomore ‘keeper Chris Eastman saved five of nine shots and allowed only one PK tally in the second round.
For Fort Kent, which finished the season 6-8-2, Tom Caron converted a penalty kick. Matthew Harvey made 19 saves on 30 shots.
Dexter will host No. 3 Madawaska in a semifinal game Wednesday at 2 p.m.
