ORONO – A University of Maine professor will give a talk tonight on Henry Ford and his “village industries,” his plan to shift production of Ford vehicles to 19 small-scale village plants in Michigan.
Howard P. Segal, a professor of history at the University of Maine, is the author of “Recasting the Machine Age: Henry Ford’s Village Industries,” published this summer.
Segal will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Page Farm and Home Museum.
