The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife offers a variety of safety courses for hunters and outdoors enthusiasts throughout the year.

Here’s a partial list of upcoming safety courses:

Hunter safety courses

. In Stonington, at Island Community Center, Nov. 5-6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., call Regina Grego at 367-2735.

. In Jonesboro, at the elementary school, Nov. 1, 2, 3, 9 from 2:30-5 p.m., call Sandy Look at 434-2602.

. In Machias, at the high school, Nov. 1, 2, 3, 7 from 6-9 p.m., call Dwaine Sylvia at 255-4642.

Trapping courses

ATV courses
