Brian Lemont

University of Maine at Farmington goalie Brian Lemont was named the North Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week. Lemont stopped six shots to force a 0-0 tie against top-seeded Johnson State. He turned away two penalty kicks to push UM-Farmington to the NAC Semifinals.

Melissa Porter

University of Maine at Farmington midfielder Melissa Porter was named the Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Porter converted a corner kick to give UM-Farmington its first goal win a 2-0 win over Thomas College in the NAC Quarterfinal.

Ann Zeigler

Bowdoin College sophomore midfielder/forward Ann Zeigler was honored as the NESCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. Zeigler scored four goals in two games over the weekend, including two game-winning shots as the Polar Bears head into NESCAC Semifinals.

Jesse Taylor

Maine Maritime Academy junior forward Jesse Taylor was named the North Atlantic Conference Women’s Soccer Co-Player of the week with Castleton State’s Lindsey Kendall. Taylor assisted the first goal and scored the second in Maine Maritime’s 2-1 NAC Quarterfinal win over Husson College.

Ben Bishop

University of Maine freshman goaltender Ben Bishop was named the Hockey East Superskills Hockey Rookie of the Week. Bishop stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 2-1 win at Boston College.

Bruno Dorismond

UMaine sophomore defensive tackle Bruno Dorismond earned Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week honors. He recorded three tackles, a forced fumble and fumble recovery in a 25-15 win over Delaware.
