The Governor’s Task Force to Plan for Higher Education in the Kennebec Valley will hold public forums on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Bangor and on Thursday, Nov. 10, in Augusta.

The forums, which will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., will provide an opportunity for residents to express their ideas and suggestions for higher education in central Maine.

The Bangor hearing will be at the Tracy R. Gran Ballroom at University College of Bangor, and the Augusta hearing will be at Jewett Hall Auditorium at the University of Maine at Augusta.

Gov. John Baldacci created the task force as a forum for communication and coordination of higher education options and charged it with recommending ways to achieve quality, affordable and accessible higher education in central Maine.
