ORONO – The University of Maine volleyball team improved to 6-3 in conference play with a 3-1 win over Maryland Baltimore County on Thursday.

Game scores were 30-16, 35-30, 30-25, 30-19. Maine is now 9-11 overall and UMBC is 10-16.

Amy Lawson led the Bears with 11 kills and nine blocks while Leah Guidinger notched 23 kills. Shannon Fotter added 13 kills and Kaili Jordan 12.

Sarah Ball’s 14 kills led UMBC and Jessie Folk added 11.
