An accident in Holden on Saturday caused significant damage to two vehicles, but both drivers escaped without injuries, police said.

The collision occurred at about noon, when Jason Lambert, 20, of Dedham turned left onto U.S. Route 1A from the Upper Dedham Road, Holden police Officer Stefin Brown said.

Lambert’s 2001 Toyota Tacoma struck a 2005 Hyundai Elantra driven by Alicia Shorette, 26, of Bangor as Shorette traveled south on Route 1A, Brown said.

Neither driver was injured, though the combined damage to both vehicles was estimated at up to $8,000, he said. Traffic was slowed for about five minutes as crews cleared the debris from the road, Brown said.

A Holden woman was arrested for domestic assault Sunday afternoon after she allegedly fought with her live-in boyfriend about his plans to move out.

Police arrived at the Route 1A home of Rhonda Gilley, 53, after her boyfriend called for an ambulance and reported fighting with her, Holden police Officer Chris Greeley said Sunday.

Both Gilley and her boyfriend had minor injuries, but they did not require transportation to a hospital, he said. Gilley was arrested after police determined she initiated the fight, Greeley said.

A locked car parked on a Bangor street was reported stolen Sunday afternoon, according to police reports.

Officer Kevin Maclaren of the Bangor Police Department received a call from a Bangor man, who said his silver 2005 Nissan Altima had been stolen. He had parked the vehicle on the street in front of his apartment building on 47 Sanford St.

According to Maclaren, the victim said he had returned from Brewer at around 11 p.m. Saturday and parked the car and locked it with his remote locking device. He said he did not notice his car was missing until 2 p.m. Sunday.

The victim said he checked with a number of towing businesses in the area, and none of them had his car and that he was up to date on his payments.
