Alan Caron, executive director of GrowSmart Maine, a three-year-old organization dedicated to promoting healthy communities and sustainable growth, will be the featured speaker at a Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce Early Bird Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Ramada Inn, 357 Odlin Road, Bangor. Caron will offer an overview of the coming Brookings Institution review of the demographic, economic, and land-use trends shaping Maine. The result of the review will be an action plan to protect the uniqueness of the state while building a prosperous and sustainable future.
