FARMINGTON – Kari Simpson recorded 26 points and 12 rebounds to lead the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers to an 81-62 women’s basketball victory over the Thomas College Terriers Wednesday night.
Meaghan Cyr and Melissa Sawyer added 10 points apiece for the winners.
Toby Martin led Thomas College of Waterville with 21 points and Kim Drosdik added 13.

Zak Ray of Bangor, who canned a 3-pointer and hit a foul shot to give Bates a 52-51 lead with 16 seconds left, finished with six. Rob Stockwell led Bates with 13 points and nine rebounds.
