Key players: Maine – LW Billy Ryan (4 goals, 11 assists), C Keenan Hopson (3 & 11), LW Josh Soares (6 & 6), RW Greg Moore (8 & 3), C Derek Damon (5 & 6), D Mike Lundin (0 & 5), G Matt Lundin (3-1, 0.71 goals-against average, .968 save percentage); Brown – LW Jeff Prough (4 & 4), RW Brian Ihnacak (2 & 4), RW Brian McNary (1 & 5), C Matt Vokes (2 & 3), D Sean Hurley (2 & 2), D Pete McCain (1 & 2), G Adam D’Alba (2-7-1, 3.39, .890)
Outlook: These two teams have been going in reverse of late and both have been having trouble scoring goals. Maine has lost three straight and four of its last five and has averaged 1.5 goals per game in those four setbacks. Brown is 0-5-1 in its last six and has averaged 1.67 goals during that stretch. Brown coach Roger Grillo said he has been playing 11-13 freshmen and sophomores and his team has been plagued by inconsistency. Prough is Brown’s only player with more than two goals. The Black Bears need to play with a sense of urgency and grit from the opening whistle. Maine has just two even-strength goals in its last three games.
