SKOWHEGAN – University of Maine-bound Mallory Shute of Skowhegan is one of three Indians field hockey players who have been named to the Northeast Regional All-America team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Juniors Zara Saydjari and Courtney Veinotte were also named to the All-America team.

Shute, a back who will play for the Black Bears next year, was a finalist for Miss Maine Field Hockey. Midfielder Veinotte had 21 goals and five assists this year, while forward Saydjari had 16 goals and 15 assists. All three were first-team All-Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference and all-state players.
