THOMASTON – Police were investigating a burglary Tuesday at Flagship Cinemas on U.S. Route 1 during which a substantial amount of cash was stolen from an office, according to Officer Tim Hoppe.
Forced entry into the movie theater building was through a window, Hoppe said, sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. when a janitor reported the incident to police.
Hoppe did not want to disclose the amount of money stolen, but indicated it was substantial. Evidence and fingerprints were obtained during the initial investigation, he said.
