Cote sparks Dexter Katahdin boys capture opener

GUILFORD – Sabrina Cote registered 20 points as the Dexter Tigers raced out to a 24-2 first-quarter lead en route to a 65-26 girls basketball win over the Piscataquis Pirates Friday night in their season opener.

Mallory Ames added 12 for Dexter.

Jill Martell led the Pirates with eight.
