Cousins helps MDI hold off GSA for win

BLUE HILL – Amethyst Cousins scored eight of her 10 points in the second quarter as the Mount Desert Island Trojans held off the George Stevens Academy Eagles 39-26 in girls high school basketball action Monday.

Kelsey Stratton and Susan Falt each chipped in with six points for MDI.

Brandi Winters and Hannah Gray paced George Stevens with eight points apiece.
