I am very sad to see the Republican leadership is making Dirigo a political issue.

In fact, I read recently that they even formed a political action committee to destroy Dirigo. It is simply wrong that they actually would form a group designed to kill Dirigo and take healthcare away from over 8,000 working Mainers. I don’t see health care as a partisan issue, but the more Republicans try to cut working people’s healthcare, the less support they will have.

Maine Republicans should be ashamed of themselves.

Affordable health care should not be a political issue.

Mainers deserve affordable healthcare. Democrats have fought hard to try to provide working Mainers with affordable health care.

It is time that Republicans step aside and let the Democrats help working Maine families.
