Bird, Beavers cruise to win over Warriors Washburn outscores Southern Aroostook 31-7 in third period

DYER BROOK – Zach Bird scored eight of his 15 points in the third quarter as Washburn outscored Southern Aroostook 31-7 to break a 17-13 game en route to a 57-37 high school boys basketball victory Tuesday.

Adam Thompson had a game-high 17 points for the winners.

Colby Clark and Adam Anderson had 12 points apiece for Southern Aroostook and Zach Stubbs scored nine more.
