JONESPORT – Ross Griffin tossed in 16 points and Joseph Libby scored 15 as the Jonesport-Beals Royals held off a late charge by the Washington Academy Raiders, 50-48 in a high school boys basketball game Wednesday.

Eric Leighton led Washington Academy of East Machias with 13 points. Jeff Ramsdell netted 11.
