The City of Lights and Love will be the setting for this season’s “The Bachelor” as the show ventures out of the United States for the first time ever.
Dubbed “Dr. McDreamy,” 33-year-old Travis Stork is looking for some “me” time to meet some amazing women, maybe even the love of his life.
If the rest of America is with me, the show’s ratings will drop this season, at least until it’s narrowed down to the final three. I’m sick of hearing “I didn’t think it would be this hard” from all the women who never thought they’d fall for “The Bachelor.” Isn’t that why they’re there?
With 25 women competing against each other for the one man that’s supposed to be Mr. Right, there’s bound to be some jealousy. Women don’t share well in general, especially when it comes to men. And who wants to hear about the wonderful time someone else had with the man you’re vying for? Not me.
Stork has it all, according to ABC. He’s a doctor at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., is 6 feet, 4 inches tall, and has a “passion for helping people.”
While I agree that Paris (a place I’ve dreamed of going) is the perfect place to play out a love story, I’m not sure I’d want my love story broadcast in front of millions of people.
The eighth season of “The Bachelor” premieres at 10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, on ABC.
BRAVO’s “Project Runway” appears to be off to a good start. The show premiered Dec. 7, and host Heidi Klum has been making the talk-show rounds to make sure there’s plenty of buzz about the second season. To keep the designers on their toes, some twists have been added to this season’s show, which I think will make it even more exciting.
Want to be a critic? Go to www.bravotv.com, click on the “Project Runway” link, and rate this week’s fashions. The site also includes a fashion face-off where one lucky winner will receive a one-of-a-kind outfit designed just for them by this season’s winning designer. Check it out at 10 p.m. Wednesdays on Bravo.
