ORONO – University of Maine soccer players Linda Consolante and Marie-Andree Canuel earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Northeast Regional honors by being named to the NSCAA second and third teams, respectively, after leading Maine to an 11-6-2 record and a berth in the America East championship game.
Consolante, a senior, started all 19 games for the Black Bears this season and scored three goals before being named the America East Defender of the Year for a second time.
Canuel, a sophomore forward, started all 19 games and led the team in scoring with nine goals and three assists. She was the 2004 America East Rookie of the Year.
