BREWER – Sam Hodgdon scored nine third-quarter points and J Uhrin hit a pair of 3-pointers in the period as the undefeated Hampden Academy Broncos rallied to a 66-53 schoolboy basketball victory over the Brewer Witches Saturday.
Jordan Cook led the reigning Class A state champions with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Uhrin had 16 points and six assists and Hodgdon finished with 14 points and six rebounds.
Brewer senior guard Chris Wilson scored a game-high 35 points, including 17 in a first half that ended with the Witches holding a 26-24 lead.
Brad Libby added 10 points for Brewer.

Bangor closed to within 49-47, but missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Bois and Dylan Costigan each scored nine points for Lawrence, while Bobby Stitham scored eight points and Jay Dangler added seven points. Aaron Champagne contributed five assists and a strong defensive effort.
