CALAIS – Ashley Tilton scored 24 points to lead the Washington Academy Raiders to a 64-58 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Calais Blue Devils Saturday.

Mary Mawhinney added 14 points for the Raiders of East Machias, while Meagan Look scored 13.

Lindsey Mingo paced Calais with 14 points and Ashley Allen scored 10.

At Eastport, Fawn Cummings scored 20 points and Taunya Cook added 18 as Shead rallied after intermission for the victory.

Cummings did much of her work at the free-throw line, where she made 11 of 14 attempts.

Cook added 15 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Tigerettes.

Tashina Francis scored eight of her nine points in the third quarter as Shead rallied from a 32-28 halftime deficit to take a 49-44 lead.

Laureta Ricker also finished with nine points for Shead.

Mandy Ostberg led Narraguagus of Harrington with 15 points, while Courtney Foss scored 12.
