FRENCHVILLE – The Frenchville Fire Department received a $58,225 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighter Grant Program in order to purchase personal protective gear and other equipment. Paul Bernier, regional community development director, will assist the department in acquiring the equipment. More than 21,000 applicants requested federal funding and the Frenchville Fire Department is one of 7,000 that are expected to receive positive reviews.
