Why are you in Freeport today?

Something to do. I came up here to get out of the snowstorm in Syracuse.

What do you do for work?

I’m retired from General Motors. I worked in shipping and receiving.

What did you have for breakfast today?

Pancakes.

What winter activity do you enjoy?

Sitting in the house doing nothing. Twenty years ago I would have said skiing.

Country. Mostly bluegrass.

What is your favorite Christmas food?

Anything in moderation. But mostly anything.

Who are you buying for today?

I’m not. My wife is.

What gifts are you most excited about giving this year?

Granddaughter-type gifts to my granddaughter.

Who would you like to have dinner with tonight?

My wife is fine.

What do you want for the world in 2006?

More family values. That’s a big problem today.
