Vacation skating clinics
BANGOR – Bangor Parks and Recreation will offer two different skating clinics during the upcoming school vacation week. Both clinics will take place at Sawyer Arena, off Union Street.
A power skating clinic is set for 11 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Dec. 27. The class is for youth hockey players. Helmets are required for the program. The fee is $15.
The figure skating and mini-synchronized skating clinic will be held 11 a.m.-noon Thursday, Dec. 29. The class will devote time improving participants’ existing skating skills and putting those skills to use in synchronized skating or ice dance moves. The fee is $15.
Participants in either program may stay for the public skating time, if they choose. For more information, call Sawyer Arena at 947-0071.
