Three men were arrested early Thursday morning for disorderly conduct outside a Bangor nightspot after police were dispatched there to break up a large fight.
Bangor police Officer Shawn Green responded shortly after 1 a.m. to Barnaby’s at the Ramada Inn on Odlin Road. When he arrived, he saw several people fighting, according to his report.
The fighting stopped when the officer arrived, but one man, Kenneth Ryan, 21, of Bangor, remained belligerent and Green arrested him, police said.
As the officer began to handcuff Ryan, another man approached Green and reportedly told him to let Ryan go, according to the report. Green then pushed the man back while waiting for additional officers to arrive.
The other man, David Barnes, 24, of Bangor, was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing government administration.
As officers dealt with Barnes and Ryan, another small fight broke out that resulted in the arrest of yet another man, John Phelps, 23, of Waite.

Bangor police are investigating recent thefts at a used car dealership on Hogan Road.
Earlier this week, an employee at Darling’s Ford reported two sets of rims and tires valued at about $2,000 missing from pickup trucks in the back of the used car lot. The trucks were on concrete blocks, making the tires easily accessible, police said.
On Wednesday, another theft was reported at the same dealership. This time, a front bumper panel valued at $700 was taken from a 1995 GMC Yukon.
Police, who do not have any suspects at this time, are reviewing surveillance tape that might be helpful.
