Ciomei hits big shots as Mariners knock off Pandas

DEER ISLE – Collin Ciomei had 22 points and 12 rebounds as the Deer-Isle Stonington Mariners remained undefeated with a 58-52 schoolboy basketball win over the Lee Academy Pandas Tuesday.

Ciomei hit four free throws in the middle of the fourth quarter to help the Mariners pull away from the Pandas.

Bryant Ciomei added 21 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds for the Mariners.

Tom Bird led Lee Academy with 17 points, and Tyler Thompson added 11.
